Most places accept US dollars, but exchanging some to Dominican pesos will get you further.
Tipping
Tips usually aren't included in the bill. As in the US, 10–20% is greatly appreciated.

110 volts, with outlets that take standard two flat-pin plugs.
Tell your bank
A quick travel notice to your bank makes paying with card abroad much easier.
Check-out & travel day

Be on time. Check-out is generally by noon on departure day. Some hotels allow early check-in or late check-out — contact the hotel directly for exact times. Leaving early morning? Check out the night before.

Double-check the room and safe. Beyond leaving on time, make sure nothing gets left behind.

Confirm your airport transfer. Share your airline, flight number, and departure time with Amstar DMC at least 24 hours ahead. Any itinerary changes should go to your Amstar representative right away.

Tag your luggage. Full first and last name, securely attached. Keep your carry-on with you at all times.
